Welcome to the opening of Synthart: the home of creative findings by Steven McCurrach. There are two purposes to this website.

The first, is to provide a clean, custom-made home for Steven McCurrach's personal blog. Inside this blog, slowly but surely, a small archive of personal findings will be published. Each week, a new article will be written on something that has taken the attention of Steven in his study of web design. In addition to these archived articles, there will be a small mixture personal, every-day life entries.

The second purpose of Synthart, is to display the creative products that Steven has made. This includes Tags, Wallpapers, Website Interfaces and anything else that fights it's way from his inventive mind. Some of these designs will be available for purchase and/or free download, when the time is right. For now, I hope you enjoy browsing the website and are able to take something from the articles that are posted.

Another week, another resource for you.
This week, I took a delve into the workings of Bartelme Design. Bartelme Design is a website much like this, only years along the pipeline. Established in 1999, the website has seen a great rise in popularity as the website grew, so did it's vast content. The website itself is the home of Wolfgang Bartelme. He has built up a range of self created tutorials of programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. I have yet to look through these tutorials myself, but from the outcomes I've seen, I'll definetly be trying out a few. As well as design, the website gives information on Web Standards and XHTML/CSS. A very useful 'Hidden Gem' website that I think is well worth a look!
